Sorel Men’s Caribou™ Reserve LTD

We just turned our clocks back last week which is a sure sign that winter is vastly approaching. With that being said things are about to change, wardrobe-wise. For the women, their looks are about to be replaced by Duvet-esque outerwear, but us guys have plenty of options in autumn/winter styles.

Depending on where you are from, footwear can be one of the most important articles of clothing during the unforgiven cold months. Yet, most of us wear the same kicks all year round, when I believe a proper pair of boots may be more appropriate to brave the elements.

With that, I thought I’d show you some of Sports Savvy’s favorite boots this season and share with you what I would rock with the we’re wearing them with.

These are perfect to wear with a pair of colored Khaki’s or Corduroy’s with a clean woven with a knit tie (colors based on your woven and pants choice)

I would wear a light hoody, with a M-65 jacket and some wool pants, you can also were a khaki, olive or navy cargo pants.

The St. James is the perfect shoe for a midfielder (Zinedine Zidane) while taking a stroll in Covent Gardens wearing a bespoke double breasted suit, or a pair of wool trousers with a cashmere sweater.

New generation swagger meets old-world luxury; Hedi Slimane must be smiling about these ones. Luxury goods house Bottega Veneta quality means leather so soft you’ll pet them like a Kardashian (except maybe Khloé). I would them anytime, anywhere, they’ll bridge the gap from shorts to suits.

A classic for mods and preppies alike, the Chelsea Boot is extremely versatile, dressing up or down in a heartbeat.

Timberland 8″ Construction Boots

Me being a student of the classic hip-hop era of the ’90′s no outfit isn’t complete without a pair construction timbs. The timeless classic Timberland’s go well with some army green fatigues, smooth sweatsuit, Sweats or some premium handcrafted/selvage denim.

Simple and smooth, these hikers are like a fine automobile. Glossy enough that they scream catwalk as readily for a trail walk (especially with the ubiquitous Gucci red and green on the laces), they’ll take you to from the park to the office in no time (assuming you’re a creative, with a houndstooth or a classic tweed blazer with a nice pair of wool trousers or some faded denim.
