The Moncler Gamme Bleu line successfully marries two seemingly divergent aesthetics: the French alpine sportswear specialist and designer Thom Browne‘s revisionist take on tailored menswear. For Spring/Summer 2012, Browne takes inspiration from two gentleman’s sports — tennis and fencing — to blend elements of athletic uniforms with classic wardrobe staples, from suiting to technical outerwear to lightweight knits. A blazer in Thom Browne signature grey features grosgrain trim and snap button closure, while a military inspired field jacket is cut in a trim silhouette without unnecessary length. Wearable, classic looks are informed with Moncler’s sporting heritage and finished with Browne’s sartorial edge.
